Marvel Rivals fans are always very much looking forward to seeing which heroes will be coming to the game next. With Season 5.5 dropping later tonight, Rogue will finally be joining Gambit in the game. However, with the 2025 Game Awards currently ongoing, Marvel Rivals has hit fans with an additional reveal – both Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone have now been confirmed as the heroes for Season 6!
Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone Are Arriving in Marvel Rivals Season 6
Both of these upcoming characters have been anticipated for Season 6 due to leaks. Following this, small snippets via the in-game gallery cards also pointed to the idea of them both appearing as new heroes in the game soon. The 2025 Game Awards cemented this idea with a brand new animated Deadpool reveal trailer, which also teases Elsa Bloodstone.

Following this, Elsa Bloodstone will follow as the mid-season hero launch in Season 6.5.
Marvel Rivals Season 6 is set to go live a little over a month from the Season 5.5 release date. This means that both Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone are now set to be the very first Marvel Rivals hero releases in 2026.
As for what roles Elsa will be released as, that’s kept under wraps for now. Unlike the releases of both Gambit and Rogue, Deadpool has been teased early in game with a locked hero card, his type and debut date, but Elsa is nowhere to be seen. There will undoubtedly be a huge amount of discussion among fans regarding their potential roles until January 2026, much like what occurred with Gambit and Rogue.
However, Marvel Rivals has proven on a few occasions now that they may not always take a hero in the direction that all fans expect. After all, many players were adamant that Gambit could be nothing other than a DPS hero, only for him to be released as one of the most powerful and unique Strategists the game has seen to date.
Marvel Rivals Season 5.5 launches on December 12, 2025 UTC. Marvel Rivals Season 6 launches on January 16, 2026 UTC. Until more information is revealed, players will simply have to enjoy the fact that these two new heroes will make their way onto the roster in just a couple of months.
