How to Get Mega Heatran & Heatranite in Pokemon Legends Z-A
In Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Heatran can be obtained by completing a Rogue Mega battle against the Pokemon. This battle is tied to a DLC Hyperspace mission titled ‘Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No. 5’. To complete this mission, you will need to team up with Korrina and feed Hoopa a donut to get to the designated Hyperspace Lumiose spot.
Upon entering the Hyperspace, you will be made aware of a nearby Heatran. This Legendary Pokemon is about to Rogue Mega Evolve, so you’ll need to come prepared for battle.
Mega Heatran is a Fire and Steel Dual Type Pokemon, so players should look to target it with Type advantages. Heatran is weak to Water and Fighting Type Pokemon, but 2x weak to Ground Types. In this case, Trainers should focus on using Ground Type moves to deal the most consistent high damage to the Rogue Mega Heatran.
After defeating the Rogue Mega Heatran, it will return to its regular form. You will now be able to capture Heatran. After you capture Heatran, you will then automatically gain Heatranite, enabling you to now Mega Evolve your Heatran in battle.
To do so, you will simply need Heatran to hold the Heatranite stone and enter a battle. You can then collect Mega Energy to fill the meter, and Mega Evolve Heatran in combat once the meter is full. However, Mega Evolution will only last for a limited amount of time, so you will need to play smart with this advantage and make the most of the empowered state/attacks that Mega Evolution offers.
