If you’ve dropped into Fortnite recently and wondered why the Collection tab is insisting Kingston is “NPC #6” while refusing to tell you where he actually lives, that’s not you missing something, that’s a bug. His entry simply doesn’t surface a location. Epic hasn’t acknowledged it, so for now players are relying on old-fashioned fieldwork.

Kingston is posted at Bumpy Bay, the small but lively coastal strip on the map’s midwestern edge.

He usually wanders the pier beside Funky Fromage, the cheese shop that looks like it’s auditioning for a late-night cooking show. If you land directly on the storefront roof, you’ll spot him almost immediately. The area is chest-rich, and you’ll need to sweep the cash registers from the stores if you want to hire Kingston (who costs the standard 600 gold bars).

Kingston NPC Services

Kingston’s a Medic Specialist, and once he’s with you, he behaves like the season’s other Medics: throwing shields or heals when you’re scraped up and stepping in to revive you if you get knocked. He’s surprisingly good at keeping pace during rotations, and in Zero Build especially, having an AI doctor trailing you is a lifesaver.

Collection Bug?

If his Collection entry never updates, you’re not imagining that either. Kingston is one of several NPCs whose unlock data isn’t registering consistently this season. But the bug doesn’t affect his actual in-match usefulness, and for players who like a little insurance policy jogging behind them with a backpack full of Chug-style splashes, Kingston is one of the more reliable hires on the island.
