Given what’s currently happening in the UK and in the world, it’s rife with sudden worldwide censorship both online and in real-life which given rise to mass protests, riots and arrests due to the tyranny of Kier Starmer and the Labour government. As a result, some British citizens are fleeing the country. Kier Starmer is going against everything the Labour government used to stand for. Back then, I thought the Labour government is supposed to be for the people and by the people. I initially assumed the Labour government is supposed to be for the lower-class people to have a voice and have a platform. It turns out the Labour government has pulled the wool over the British citizens and the world and turned its back on the aforementioned British citizens. Back in my day, the Labour government didn’t resort to weaponizing censorship to silence their and genuine concerns. Due to the mass illegal immigration and non-existence of the freedom of speech, this is the 2020 Hong Kong national security law all over again. As a result, I’m experiencing tons of déjà vu. While the riots in the UK aren’t as violent as the warzone-esque riots in Hong Kong (Noam brings this issue up to Pax in the most arguably the worst game of 2024 and critically panned game of 2024, Dustborn), this paints a foreboding picture of civil unrest and the bone-chilling bombshell of the fact due to the “Online Safety Act” (and I use the words VERY loosely), everyone’s freedom of speech in Britain are eroded. The tyrannical Kier Starmer and the authoritarian Labour government claims the “Online Safety Act” is put in place to “protect the children” (and I use these words VERY loosely) from pornography, sex offenders, grooming gangs, internet trolls etc when in reality, this isn’t the case. There’s always an ulterior motive with any government that’s voted into Parliament. Kier Starmer and the Labour government is using the “Online Safety Act” to silence people that doesn’t agree with them so Kier and Labour can get away with their evil, malicious, traitorous, fascist policies and keeping the UK as a fascist police state. Dustborn may be the worst game of 2024 and whether we like to say it or not, little did we know that it’s a cautionary tale. This is why Justice and the government are portrayed as the villains in this game. There’s no better time than to pit two war-themed video games against other: Ratchet & Clank 3/Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal and Sonic Forces, to make my point about why fighting for freedom is important. Due the certain UK corrupt establishment policing everything we do, think and say, democracy is officially dead and the free internet as we know it is slaughtered. Kier Starmer and the Labour government setting up an elite police squad to crackdown on wrongthink and “hurty words” from the British public and everyone all over the world is just taking it too far. This is never about the children, seeing as the illegal immigrants live in asylum hotels near the areas where women, little girls and kids live. Say what you will about Donald Trump but he has been making sense lately. He may be racist towards Chinese people back in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but as much as I hate to say it, I slowly started to warm up to him when he banned men and the LGBTQ+ community from women’s sports. He’s not afraid to pull any punches against Kier Starmer and say it like it is, keeping it real. What Kier can’t handle is the truth which is why he created the “Online Safety Act” to prevent anyone from criticising him. Donald Trump has been saying on what’s everyone’s mind: it isn’t fair when the illegal immigrants are living in a lap of luxury and ordinary British people had to still work and get nothing in return. It’s a slap in the face and it’s no wonder why there are riots and protests stirring up in the UK right now. It’s not fair when the illegal immigrants live in 5-star/4-star hotels and receive free PlayStation consoles, free new iPhones/smartphones etc at the expense of taxpayers. Kier Starmer, the police, the Labour government and the military can’t be bothered to force the illegal immigrants out of the country. Heck, the police and the military can’t be bothered to do their jobs to protect the public, let alone women and little girls. Times like this I wish Guy Fawkes wasn’t executed for attempting to blow up the House of Parliament back in 1605. His execution is the reason why British people still celebrate Bonfire Night. Remember, remember, the 5th of November. The irony is Kier Starmer, the Labour government and King Charles III (due to adding fuel to the fire by staying silent and not weighing in the situation) are committing treason right now. It’s a sad state of affairs that everyone worldwide has to fight for their freedom on all fronts.

It’s a coincidence “Freedom” by Sugababes (the line-up at the time consists of Amelle Berrabah, Heidi Range and Jade Ewen) is currently my ringtone at the time of writing. This song isn’t my favourite but given the current dire circumstances, the song is more relatable than ever before. It’s a song that needs to be turned up in order to be empowering and make a statement.

If there’s anything Ratchet & Clank 3/Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal and Sonic Forces have in common is these games are about the protagonists fighting the oppression. What I’ve learned about war and the military from Ratchet & Clank 3. In fact, Ratchet & Clank 3 is my first introduction to the themes of war, the military and fighting for freedom. Despite its synth and electronic soundtrack, this game still revolves around a galactic threat called Dr. Nefarious who declared war against organic lifeforms.

Unlike Ratchet & Clank and Ratchet & Clank 2: Locked and Loaded, Ratchet & Clank 3 had a military theme going for it. A Ratchet & Clank-esque game called Metal Arms: Glitch In The System is also military-based. The most recent Ratchet & Clank-esque game, Akimbot, is also military-themed.

On the other hand, the storyline in Sonic Forces is interesting but it isn’t executed very well. Just because the Sonic the Hedgehog series is usually a family-friendly franchise doesn’t mean a military-themed game like Sonic Forces should downplay how war affects everyone. I can’t stress this enough that Ratchet & Clank 3/Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal has conveyed the theme of war much better than Sonic Forces.

Due to current political events, Sonic the Hedgehog as a character is more relatable more than ever before. He’s as free as the wind, hence why his super speed represents the wind. He goes where the wind takes him. This is why he doesn’t have a literal home and he’s a wandering nomad. He simply travels the world, searching for adventures. It seems trouble found him instead of him finding trouble. Sometimes, his supernatural powers represent electricity. If you put the wind and electricity together, they become the storm, which in turn Sonic becomes the storm. He lives in the moment, hence why he represents the present while Silver the Hedgehog is a representation of the future and Shadow the Hedgehog represents the past. Freedom is what Sonic the Hedgehog strives for on a daily basis. This is why he is a part of the Freedom Fighters, hich is a resistance group led by Princess Sally Acorn. This is why the old 2D Sonic games are about environmentalism and revolves around the theme of nature versus technology. Sonic represents environmentalism while Dr. Eggman represents the negative side of industrialism. Sonic CD shows how Dr. Eggman’s actions and his technology affect time. Bad Future shows what happens when his technology is left to their own devices (no pun intended), causing pollution to Little Planet. Good Future shows nature and technology in harmony. The past presents any location in Little Planet unaffected by his technology and the present shows any location before it’s affected by his technology or not. It’s like as if the present is in limbo, couldn’t decide whether if it’s going to be affected by his technology or not.

On an unrelated note, the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic episode, “Cutie Re-Mark Part 1”, isn’t afraid to pull any punches and showed the consequences of time itself and war. Due to Starlight Glimmer preventing a young Rainbow Dash from performing her first Sonic Rainboom, it caused a ripple effect through time, affecting the present. When Princess Twilight Sparkle and Spike returned to Ponyville, it isn’t how she left it. Princess Twilight Sparkle’s castle is gone, leaving only the Cutie Map; much of Ponyville has been abandoned; Sweet Apple Acres is now an industrial apple-processing plant; and the Crystal Empire is encroaching upon the rest of Equestria. They find Applejack, and she explains that when the Crystal Empire returned, King Sombra forced all of the Crystal Ponies into his army and began to wage an all-out war (which is known as The Great Crystal War) against Equestria, and the rest of the Mane Six now serve as members of Princess Celestia’s army.

While the worldwide internet censorship continues to silence the global public, the question is: why hasn’t Dr. Eggman, Infinite and the Eggman Empire resorted to silence the global denizens by censoring the internet, causing a worldwide internet blackout? It would send a much more compelling message in regards to why censoring the internet worldwide will result in distrust in each government across the world. Thus, each country will no longer be loyal to every government. Sega has glossed over how war actually affects people, for example how the citizens will react to the sudden worldwide censorship of the internet and the abrupt intrusion from the worldwide online surveillance and the infringement of privacy, human rights and freedom of speech laws. Sega failed to show how the Eggman War affects the denizens worldwide such as does the war result in civil unrest, protests and warzone-esque riots?
In regards to real-life, who or what company is behind the Stand Up To Racism counter-protestors? Who or what company is paying for them, their signs and their placards? Who or what company is assembling and distributing the placards? These are the million-pound questions. Furthermore, where has the illegal immigrant boats come from? Who is paying for these illegal immigrant boats? Why are the illegal immigrants are suddenly invading the western countries en masse such as the UK, the US, Europe, Canada, Australia etc? Why are these illegal immigrants invading these western nations out of the blue and what are their motives or goals? Why are they causing so much trouble as they please in each western country without opposition from the police, the government, the monarchy, the military etc? This is already ruining the economy and the tourism industry. Isn’t this suspicious?

When we were young, we were taught not to question anything, we had to do what we’re told and respect and obey authority. We were conditioned into thinking about the good guys and the bad guys in a black and white manner. Back then, I initially assumed the government and the police were the good guys and they’re anything but good but it’s very clearly to me that they’re out for themselves and they don’t care for the public. It didn’t help that I’ve been let down by the police numerous times in the recent past.

If the government and the police fail the citizens, it will give rise to vigilantes. If protests, riots, online petitions and so forth won’t work and change Kier Starmer and the Labour government’s mind, what will? Because of their traitorous actions, the UK, Kier Starmer and the Labour government are a worldwide laughing stock. One could argue Sly Cooper is a vigilante, despite his actions are Robin Hood-esque. He commits crimes and his actions are technically illegal but all for the right reasons. In my opinion, the world needs more Sly Cooper-esque heroes or Robin Hood-esque heroes. For instance, a group of British men justifiably beat up the black-skinned illegal immigrant for pulling down his trousers in front of women and children, especially when they don’t need to see the black-skinned illegal immigrant’s private parts. While violence isn’t the answer, the illegal immigrant got what’s coming to him and he got what he deserves in my honest opinion for pulling his trousers down, especially when there are women and children on the London subway train. What goes around comes around. It’s rude and indecent towards women and the kids. The moral is not all superheroes need to wear capes and not all knights in shining armours need to wear armour to perform heroic deeds. The mens’ actions may be illegal in Kier Starmer, the Labour government and the police’s eyes but to the ordinary British people, including myself, is heroic and honourable. While Sonic the Hedgehog himself is a symbol of freedom (For example, the overarching theme of the IDW Sonic the Hedgehog comics is freedom vs. control. You could say that Kier Starmer is the real-life Dr. Eggman/Dr. Ivo Robotnik at the moment in regards of the fact his “Online Safety Act” (I use the words VERY loosely) is a threat against freedom as a whole, free press, freelance journalism, citizen journalism, independent journalism and journalism as a whole. Hence why Tommy Robinson got arrested numerous times just for speaking out against Kier Starmer and the Labour government’s tyranny), every hero has their own version of justice. It’s just all heroes fight for justice but on opposite sides of the law.
