UPDATED, December 9th, 2025 : Just a few hours after these leaks first started circulating, the official character reveal for Rogue went live from the devs, giving fans a first look at how she works in-game. This news summary has been updated to reflect this new information.

According to Leakers, Rogue Will Officially Be a Vanguard in Marvel Rivals

As of December 9, 2025, trusted sources for Marvel Rivals leaks/datamining have begun to state on X/Twitter that Rogue will fill the Vanguard role with her Season 5.5 launch. These posts have been stated by accounts such as @X0XLeak and @RivalsLeaks, two profiles now very well-known as reputable sources for upcoming additions and changes to the game.

Take a look at the posts below:

Judging by the history these two accounts have with Marvel Rivals intel and leaks, and how often the posts have turned out to be true, players should find a solid amount of trust in these sources.

However, as always, everything prior to official launch/sources should always be taken with a grain of salt. Luckily, players will soon enough know, as the next dev diary is set to go live very soon, where players will very likely be getting the first in-game look at Rogue and her playstyle.

In addition to this, these same sources are also stating that the very first hero skin to release alongside Rogue will be her ‘Savage Land’ concept.

It’s also important to note that this is right about the time that any new season starts to have early content reveals, both through official sources and datamining. It’s very likely that over the next 24 hours, we will begin to see a lot more information begin to circulate regarding 5.5, as most of it has been kept under wraps until now. This can include information about new hero Team-Ups, balance changes, hero skins, limited-time events, and more.

Rogue Now Confirmed as Vanguard by Marvel Rivals Devs

A very short wait from when leakers started to spread this new information across the net, Rogue’s official character reveal was posted on the Marvel Rivals YouTube channel. This gave fans a first look at how she will operate in the Vanguard role, with her powers giving her a very strong frontline brawl presence.

Her abilities appear to include melee combos with knockback effects (and perhaps some light stuns?), a shield to help her enter and exit team fights, and most importantly – the ability to steal abilities from other characters and use them for her own team. This is, without a doubt, the strongest aspect of her kit, and will make or break the difference between a good Rogue player and a phenomenal Rogue player.
