My Hero Academia is approaching the end of its run, with just a few more episodes left to release. In the most recently-aired episode of Season 8, Deku finally had the final battle against All For One. Of course, his One For All Quirk was key in Deku being able to take the villain on, having been passed down through generations from Yoichi Shigaraki, all the way to Izuku.

Is One For All Destroyed in My Hero Academia?
As of the conclusion of the final battle against All For One, yes, unfortunately One For All has been destroyed. As a major turning point, Deku and Shigaraki actually ended up teaming up with one another to take down All For One in collaboration.
To achieve this, Deku transferred the past vestiges to Shigaraki before losing his arms in the fight. Aizawa arrived with Eri’s horn in time to turn back the moment prior to the loss of these limbs, which also confirmed for Izuku that his Quirk was gone. Despite rewinding, the transfer of Quirk did not rewind alongside his physical body.
This is largely because Deku did not simply push One For All to its maximum limits, he completely exhausted every last trace of the power in this final battle. This means years of accumulated power, generations of inherited abilities, and even the consciousnesses of the previous users were consumed, leaving nothing behind that could possibly be passed on to a further successor.
As a result, Deku is not simply weakened, but instead is now permanently Quirkless once again. However, rather than being a tragic outcome, this has resulted in quite a meaningful character arc for the protagonist, coming full circle. When he once dreamed of becoming a hero despite being Quirkless, years later, he saved the world not by the power of his Quirk, but by his relentless selflessness and heroic intellect. Deku has completed his mission, but his legacy will continue to inspire not only his classmates and comrades but also the next generation of heroes to come.
