How to Get Shiny Keldeo in Pokemon GO
Shiny Keldeo has made its Pokemon GO debut as of the Final Justice event in November 2025, meaning it will now be permanently available in shiny form moving forward. The Final Justice event begins on November 25, 2025, at 10 AM local time and will conclude on November 30, 2025, at 8 PM local time.
The easiest way to obtain shiny Keldeo during the Final Justice event is by purchasing a Masterwork Research Ticket. These will be available from the start of the event and will lead to a guaranteed encounter with shiny Keldeo. If this shiny is a must-have for your collection, then this is the easiest way to do so, as long as you’re willing to fork out some real cash for the purchase of the ticket.
Masterwork Research Tickets are priced at $7.99 USD (or the same equivalent in your local currency), and will be removed from the shop at the end of the event. However, Masterwork Research Tickets do not have a time limit, so you can also purchase them and sit on them for a while to complete everything leading up to the shiny Keldeo encounter at your own pace.
There’s also the possibility that any other method of obtaining Keldeo during Final Justice, or any other event in the future, may result in a shiny Keldeo. However, unlike the Masterwork Research Ticket opportunity, wild encounters, Raid encounters, and Field Research task encounters are not guaranteed. Instead, Trainers must complete multiple repetitions to spawn the desired Pokemon as many times as possible in hopes of beating the lucky shiny odds.
Aside from shiny Keldeo’s debut, the Final Justice event also marks the very first time that Keldeo’s Resolute form will be available in the game. During Final Justice, the last part of the Seasonal Special Research story will be unlocked, letting Trainers use 50 Keldeo Candy to change into Resolute Form. In theory, this also means that shiny Keldeo Resolute Form is now possible, adding yet another reason for players to seek this one out for their collections.
