Kevin Spacey’s life after Hollywood exile now includes hotel living, shifting Airbnbs and a nightclub stage in Cyprus, where the two-time Oscar winner has been performing American songbook standards for high-paying audiences while waiting for the industry to open its doors again.

The actor laid out the details of his itinerant lifestyle in a new Telegraph interview, saying he has “literally no home” after years of legal battles drained his finances and left his belongings in storage. “I’m living in hotels, I’m living in Airbnbs, I’m going where the work is,” he said.

A Cypriot Cabaret Instead of a Comeback

Spacey recently headlined Monte Caputo, a 1,300-seat venue in Limassol, with a one-night show titled Kevin Spacey: Songs & Stories. Tickets ran from €250 to a €1,200 VIP package that included a meet-and-greet. Wearing a tuxedo and backed by a six-piece band, Spacey performed “That’s Life,” “Who Can I Turn To?” and other standards, weaving personal stories throughout the set.

The audience, which were largely local real-estate figures, Russian visitors and longtime fans, responded with standing ovations. The actor’s planned follow-up show in Athens was cancelled, which Spacey attributed to political tensions rather than his reputation.

Post-Acquittal, Still Not Reinstated

Although a jury found him not liable in the Anthony Rapp civil case in 2022 and he was acquitted of all remaining UK charges in 2023—after 12 alleged offences were either dropped or dismissed, including cases that could not proceed due to the death of an accuser—Spacey remains shut out of major studio projects. Independent filmmakers have cast him in smaller productions, but no Hollywood power player has stepped forward.

Spacey likened his career freeze to the blacklist era, saying one major director could shift the narrative. “If Scorsese or Tarantino call tomorrow, it will be over,” he told the paper.

Financial and Personal Fallout

Spacey said he lost his longtime home in Baltimore, describing his financial situation as “not great.” Bankruptcy was “discussed,” he noted, but never filed.

Spacey appears confident that a reinstatement is coming. In the meantime, he’s leaning on performances, which he says he has loved since childhood.“Can I get up and sing for my supper again?” Spacey said. “The answer is yes.”
