Pokemon GO’s High Voltage event is taking place in mid-November, bringing a focus to Electric Type Pokemon. During this event, a series of different Pokemon under this theme will be available to encounter and obtain, many of which can be found as a shiny. Among them, shiny Morpeko is making its Pokemon GO debut during the event, meaning it will be available for players to acquire for the very first time.

If you’re wondering how to get shiny Morpeko in Pokemon GO, all relevant information has been included in the guide below.

How to Get Shiny Morpeko in Pokemon GO

In Pokemon GO, shiny Morpeko will be available for the very first time starting the High Voltage event in November 2025. This event begins on November 18 at 10 AM local time, and will conclude on November 22 at 8 PM local time.

During this event, Morpeko will be available to encounter or obtain through several different methods, with shiny encounters being possible for each of them. This includes Field Research Tasks, paid Timed Research opportunities, the High Voltage Collection Challenge, via GO Battle League, and from surprise Snapshot encounters.

Morpeko does not seem to appear during the wild throughout this event. This makes it a bit harder to encounter in its shiny variant, as you have fewer opportunities to spawn Morpeko in, and therefore fewer chances of beating the rare shiny odds. If you encounter shiny Morpeko, it will be by complete chance.

To find as many Morpeko as possible during the event, you will want to participate in the paid Timed Research, as this will offer additional opportunities to encounter the little guy. However, it is not recommended to take this plunge unless you are very desperate to potentially find a shiny, as this will still not guarantee you one. The one small upside to purchasing the research is that you will be able to gain more out of the event through these extra encounters and rewards.

Aside from shiny Morpeko making a debut in High Voltage, there are also increased shiny odds for other Electric Type Pokemon to make an appearance. Shiny Togedemaru, shiny Dedenne, and shiny Emolga all have boosted shiny rates during this time as an event bonus. Be sure to maximize your participation in the event for the best chance at finding a shiny!
