How to Get GO Safari Balls & How They Work in Pokemon GO
In Pokemon GO, the GO Safari Balls are a newer item that tends to only be available through Wild Area (in-person or global) exclusively. The main advantage of GO Safari Balls is the high capture rate they bring to each throw, giving you a much better chance of capturing Pokemon during encounters. Specifically, it has been recommended that you utilize GO Safari Balls for capturing the likes of Mighty Pokemon.
To get more GO Safari Balls, players can usually complete steps in Timed Research or Special Research opportunities to gain a few more as a reward.
During the GO Wild Area: Global 2025 event, players who are Ticket holders will gain Safari Balls to use in Max Battles and Raids. The Professor will also provide you with a small amount of GO Safari Balls upon completing the tutorial and finishing your first encounter with a Mighty Pokemon.
Lastly, GO Safari Balls will be available to purchase from the in-game shop during the GO Wild Area: Global 2025 event. Players can choose to purchase them via PokeCoins, or opt to use the Pokemon GO Web Store to instead purchase for real currencies.

In Pokemon GO, Mighty Pokemon are a variant of encounter, generally seen in the GO Wild Area events. Mighty Pokemon have more powerful stats than the regular variant of the same species, making them much more suited to combat. They have a guaranteed 13/13/13 IV minimum, will always be a final evolution, and are generally much higher in level/CP than the average encounter, too.
