Overwatch 2’s mid-season balance update patch has gone live, introducing another round of recurring buffs, nerfs, and new perks for various heroes in the main 5v5 gameplay mode. This time around, the amount of buffs significantly outweighs the amount of nerfs, with some interesting changes going on for characters such as D.Va, Sombra, Sojourn, and Lifeweaver, among others.
Such changes should have a noticeable effect on both Competitive gameplay and casual Quick Play matches for the remainder of Season 19, as there are plenty of new survivability, damage, and ability buffs being implemented. A complete summary of each hero receiving a positive, neutral, or negative tweak has been outlined below, as well as specifics on the changes that are being made.
Overwatch 2 Season 19: New Changes in the Mid-Season Patch, Explained

A complete summary of the patch notes for regular Overwatch 2 gameplay (non-6v6 or Stadium) has been covered below. Many of these changes, particularly buffs, have been implemented through new Hero Perk choices.
There are a few very notable key changes from this bunch. Lifeweaver’s model size/hitbox is shrinking down a bit, which will more than certainly help with his survivability on the Support role. D.Va has a new Perk to deal 100% additional damage with Boosters. Sombra gets buffs across the board for her Perks, Echo gets a small buff in mobility, and Sojourn’s Disruptor Shots get an overall boost.
On the other hand, Hazard gets hit with a nerf, with his Spike Guard no longer preventing crits. Orisa gets a similar nerf to critical hit prevention with changes to both Terra Surge and Fortify. Lastly, Zarya’s Energy Converter Perk takes a hit, with gained energy going from 3 to 2.
