Marvel Rivals Season 5 is just around the corner, set to launch on November 14, 2025. On this date, the brand new season, titled ‘Love is a Battlefield’ will kick off a brand new Battle Pass, new Accessories, a new map, and the latest Strategist hero addition, Gambit. To help give players an idea of the other drops and events planned throughout Season 5, the Marvel Rivals team have released the official Roadmap. This hints at several exciting new events and skin drops, including an intruiging mystery event to take place in December.
A complete outline of the Marvel Rivals Season 5 roadmap has been included below, as well as a first glimpse at some of the new cosmetic additions to come.

November 14 New Additions in Marvel Rivals
New Hero: Gambit
Gambit is the latest hero to release at the start of Season 5, joining the Strategist roster. Many of Gambit’s abilities have been teased prior to the Season 5 launch in his official character reveal video. The Season 5 trailer also heavily featured him alongside Rogue, who is all but confirmed to be the next hero to follow Gambit, releasing with the Season 5.5 update.
Gambit’s ability kit on the Strategist takes a very interesting approach, offering lots of utility for his team. He can heal, deal damage, and use a secondary card ammo to detonate different effects, one of which seems to ‘cleanse’ allies from CC/status effects in a similar fashion to Kiriko’s Suzu in Overwatch. His Ultimate also looks to be incredibly strong, featuring speed boost, enhanced mobility/jump, and damage boost in a simultaneous manner for allies within range.
Gambit is also set to debut with a new Team-Up alongside Magneto, in which he is the Anchor. In this Team-up, Gambit seems to significantly enhance Magneto’s frontline presence with a more powerful basic attack.

New Map: Times Square
Marvel Rivals is introducing the first-ever casual hangout spot map with the launch of Season 5. Times Square is a new map that encourages players to unwind, goof off, and make friends outside of their regular matches. Players can explore, watch videos, and gather for dance parties in this new location, with the possibility of up to 100 players being able to roam the map at a time.
New Grand Garden Adventure Battle Pass
With every new season of Marvel Rivals comes a new Battle Pass to complete. In Season 5 – Love is a Battlefield, the Battle Pass is titled Grand-Garden Adventure. Early looks at the skins involve new additions for Groot, Punisher, Namor, Hela, Adam Warlock, Scarlet Witch, Thing, and more.
Thieves Guildmaster Gambit & Temporal Tyrant Magneto Skins
In addition to a new Battle Pass full of skins, bundles for Thieves Guildmaster Gambit and Temporal Tyrant Magneto are set to launch on this same date. You will need to have some extra Units stashed aside if you want to buy them, so don’t forget to complete all challenges and Battle Pass rewards that provide Units before Season 4 comes to an end.
Elder’s Chessboard Event (Spider-Man Iron Spider skin)
Elder’s Chessboard is a new skin event, featuring a series of challenges that players will need to complete. As a final reward, they can earn the free Iron Spider skin for Spider-Man.
New Accessories
More accessories will be added for different heroes when Season 5 launches, adding a new wave of collectibles to wear proudly in-game. From the preview image on the roadmap, it looks as if some of these new additions include a plushie of Future Foundation Spidey, a Khonshu puppet, a Cyclops plushie, and more.

Van Dyne Design Magik & Doctor Strange Skins
More new skins are set to drop on the 21st, this time adding two new incredibly stylish outfits for Doctor Strange and Magik. Be sure to take note of this date if you’re looking to snag these concepts!
November 28 New Additions in Marvel Rivals
Anniversary Event: Galacta’s Live Anniversary Costumes
A new first Anniversary event is set to occur in Marvel Rivals starting on the 28th. This event appears to be either a game board or track, similar to previous instances, and appears to have multiple skins up for grabs, likely split into Free/Premium tiers. However, it has been confirmed that as a part of this event, players will be able to earn both 2500 Units and a new Jeff the Landshark skin for free.
New Gameplay Mode & Map: Grand Garden (18v18 Conquest Annihilation)
The devs have also announced a new gameplay mode and map, set to begin on the 28th. This mode is called 18 VS 18 Conquest (Annihilation), and will be available on the brand-new Grand Garden map. In this mode. As for the specifics of this game mode, more details are sure to follow, but it sounds like it will function as something similar to the classic Team Deathmatch formula.
December 5 New Additions in Marvel Rivals
Rivals’ Day 2025 Luna Snow & Psylocke Skins
Even more gorgeous new skins are set to drop in early December, with fan-favorites Luna Snow and Psylocke both receiving new cosmetics. Just like prior drops in Season 5, these will very likely show up in the shop as complete bundles, featuring MVP animations, emotes, nameplates, and more.
December 12: Season 5.5 – Mystery Event/Skins.
The Marvel Rivals Season 5 roadmap concludes on December 12, with this date marked for Season 5.5. This means that Season 5.5 is likely to launch just under a month from Season 5, and will very likely feature another round of skin drops, new features, and events to look forward to.
Until this date gets closer to approaching, players will have to keep their eyes peeled to see what the dev team has in stock – but it’s very likely to be some kind of Christmas/winter holiday-themed event.
