After Rogue and Gambit were leaked a season ahead via gallery card lore, we can confirm that Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone are joining Marvel Rivals in Season 6. Like every other upcoming character duo before them, the pair were explicitly teased in Season 5’s end-of-season lore card, confirming the game’s next duo will be the foul-mouthed mercenary and the monster hunter herself.
From Leak to Lore
Deadpool’s voice lines, Elsa’s unfinished character files, and more have been leaking for months now. Both names appeared repeatedly across leaks since August, but until now, there wasn’t hard proof they were next in line.
That changed with the Season 5 Gallery Card. In the lore’s closing scene, The Collector himself drops a line describing “a blathering, foul-mouthed mercenary and a monster hunter as deadly as she is beautiful.” Fans didn’t need long to connect the dots.

The Grandmaster’s Game

The Grandmaster’s manipulations have been teased in earlier seasons. That puts them directly in the middle of the Rivals’ overarching conflict, which has been building since Knull’s defeat and the K’un-Lun arc.
The thematic tie-in makes sense: after Season 5’s romantic flair, Season 6 looks ready to pivot back toward chaos and carnage—something only Deadpool and Elsa could deliver.
VOs and Visuals
Both characters already had supporting leaks. Deadpool’s quips toward Spider-Man and Wolverine appeared in datamined voice files months ago, and Elsa Bloodstone’s character ID was discovered in the game’s test servers, alongside placeholders for new weapon skins.
Previous seasons have followed this exact pattern—Phoenix, Blade, and Angela were all teased in end-of-season lore text and VO files weeks before their official trailers dropped. With the Collector now naming the duo outright, the pattern holds: they’re next.
Speculating the Roles & Release

Rogue is currently speculated to be either a strategist or a vanguard, meaning that Wade and Elsa could be Duelists. That said, it’s still anyone’s game and the game isn’t crying out for more Duelists.
Still, the easiest guesses would be two Duelists. Elsa Bloodstone as a mid-range Duelist, leaning on hybrid gunplay and melee combat with potential self-sustain, while Deadpool uses burst DPS, mobility, and regeneration.
Same goes for who will release first. Deadpool is the big name, so maybe they’ll drop him first, but maybe they’ll tease him and build hype with Elsa then drop Wade, who knows?
Season 6 is expected to release two months after Season 5, which start on November 14. So, we can expect our first look at Mr Merc and Miss Monster Hunter around January 14.
