How to Get Poltchageist in Pokemon GO
Poltchageist and Sinistcha have both been added to the game through Pokemon GO’s Halloween 2025 Part 1 event. During this event, Poltchageist is available to encounter exclusively through 1-Star Raids, where it can be found as a boss.
This means that in order to encounter Poltchageist, players will not only need to have one spawn in at a nearby Raid, but also defeat it in battle for the chance to capture one. It is unknown how commonly Poltchageist may appear in the wild or in events following Halloween 2025, so Trainers should aim to make the most of this opportunity by battling and capturing as many of them as possible.
How to Get Sinistcha in Pokemon GO
To get Sinistcha in Pokemon GO, players will need to acquire a Poltchageist and then evolve it. It will require 50 Poltchageist Candy to do so. Poltchageist Candy can be most easily obtained by capturing Poltchageist after Raid boss encounters, which plays nicely with the event bonus of 2x Catch Candy.
You can then transfer additional Poltchageists that you have captured to gain even more Candy, which should hopefully provide enough for your remaining Poltchageist to evolve into Sinistcha. To do this, simply go to Poltchageist’s profile and click the evolve button.
Can You Get Shiny Poltchageist & Shiny Sinistcha in Pokemon GO?

No, unfortunately, shiny Poltchageist and shiny Sinistcha are not currently available in Pokemon GO. However, it is very likely that they will make their way to the game eventually.
Most shiny variants are released further down the line from when the Pokemon is originally released, often with the launch of events and in-game celebrations. This is the case even with Halloween 2025 Part 1, which brought debuts for both Poltchageist and Sinistcha, but also shiny variants for Sinistea and Polteageist.
