How to Unlock More Storage Boxes in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, players can access the box system by pressing X to open the menu and then selecting Boxes. From here, you will be able to move Pokemon to and from your party to the storage slots in each box, or move Pokemon from one box to another.
However, there are a limited number of boxes to begin with. Luckily, unlocking more is possible and will naturally occur as you continue to fill each box with captured Pokemon. However, there are also some steps you can take to rush this process.
To instantly unlock more boxes, you will simply need to place at least one Pokemon in every available box, then exit the box system. The next time you open it, there will be a new wave of boxes added on, extending your storage. This trick can be completed multiple times until you reach the maximum box number, which is 31 boxes.
Pokemon Box Storage System Quick Tips
- You can use your boxes to organize your Pokemon by level, type, or Pokedex number, among other things. This makes it easy to drag and drop different species into an easy location when switching Pokemon out for Wild Zones and the Z-A Royale.
- Press the + key to view all of your boxes. From this menu, press Y to switch its place with another box.
- To move multiple Pokemon to another box, click ZL, then select the Pokemon by checking them from the box. Now hit Y to pick them up, tab over to the box you’d like to set them in, and press A to place them.
- Alternatively, you can mass release Pokemon by highlighting them all and then hitting the X button.
- Press – to search for Pokemon by Type, species, gender, level, nature, hold item, moves, and more. Again, this is handy both for the Z-A Royale and if you plan to get into Online Battles.
