Pokemon Legends: Z-A offers side missions for the player to complete between main story objectives. These side missions are rather useful at times, offering the chance to earn extra EXP and money, unlock new explorable areas within Lumiose City, enable you to acquire certain Pokemon, and provide handy reward items upon completion.

A Break Time Battle is the fourth side mission in Pokemon Legends Z-A. If you’re wondering how to complete it, a complete explainer of the process has been included in the guide below.

How to Complete Side Mission 004 – How to Complete A Break Time Battle In Pokemon Legends: Z-A

To begin the A Break Time Battle side mission, players will need to travel to the Rouge District. Once here, you will need to look out for the Worker named Sommi. He can be found standing outside of a building located between the Rouge Sector 1 and Restaurant Le Yeah locations, west of the Rouge Plaza Wild Zone.

Sommi’s exact location has been included below in the map screenshot for your convenience.

Speak to Sommi to initiate the mission. Luckily, this one is extremely straightforward – he’s just looking for a friendly Pokemon battle whilst on his work break!

Take a moment to rearrange and heal up your team if needed, or swap Pokemon out from your boxes. Once you are ready to face Sommi in battle, speak with him again to initiate the match. If you’ve been completing objectives and levelling your Pokemon, then this fight should be no problem. However, his strongest/most problematic Pokemon is likely to be his Emolga, so feel free to bring a Ground Type Pokemon as a counter, if you have one.

As soon as you have completed the match and successfully defeated Sommi, the A Break Time Battle quest will conclude, and you will receive your rewards from him.

How to Explore Rooftops in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

Aside from unlocking rewards by completing the A Break Time Battle side mission, you will also unlock a new elevator spot, as Sommi will finish his repairs. In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, elevators and ladders can be taken to reach rooftops, which offer additional exploration.

A variety of different Pokemon can be encountered on rooftops, some of which cannot be found anywhere else. This makes exploring rooftops and unlocking access points for them another important objective to consider during your playthrough.

You should try to explore each rooftop thoroughly, as there are also plenty of Mega Crystals to break and hidden items to discover in these sneaky little spots – including the likes of important collectibles like Colorful Screws!
