Silent Hill f has hit the ground running with confirming that the game sold one million units across digital and physical platforms within three days of its Sept. 25 release via developer NeoBards.
Franchise Record

The milestone makes Silent Hill f the fastest-selling title in franchise history, outpacing last year’s Silent Hill 2 remake, which took three days to cross the same threshold. That remake went on to top two million copies worldwide and helped boost Konami’s Digital Entertainment revenues.
A Shift in Setting

Set in 1960s rural Japan in the fictional town of Ebisugaoka, Silent Hill f marks a departure from the series’ traditional small-town Americana. Developed by NeoBards Entertainment with narrative contributions from visual novelist Ryukishi07, the game has drawn praise for its atmosphere, branching endings and monster design. Early reviews have put it in the mid-to-high 80s on Metacritic.
Launch-Day Hurdles

The release hasn’t been without hiccups. Players on PC have reported optimization issues tied to Unreal Engine 5 and a motion blur bug that distorts visuals. Konami says patches are on the way.
Silent Hill Book Adaptation

The franchise’s reach is also extending beyond games. A novel adaptation of Silent Hill f by Kadokawa is slated for release in Japan on Oct. 30, signaling Konami’s broader ambitions for the brand.
Looking Ahead
The elusive Silent Hill: Townfall is still up in the air, with very little info released yet, but it’s expected to be the next game in the series. The last tidbit was in July when the developers confirmed that they’re still working on it and changed their name to Screen Burn.
