Fans of Super Mario Galaxy can now preorder a physical edition of Rosalina’s Storybook, the illustrated tale that first appeared within the 2007 Nintendo game.

Dark Horse Books is publishing the 112-page hardcover on Nov. 25 for $25. The release was announced during September’s Nintendo Direct, which also confirmed the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 collection for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

The book includes all nine chapters from the original in-game story, chronicling Rosalina’s journey into outer space and her role as caretaker of the Lumas. Each chapter is accompanied by full-page illustrations. The additional story material teased in the new Galaxy collection is not included in this edition.

Preorders are available now at Amazon, the Nintendo Store, and Barnes & Noble.

Dark Horse has an ongoing relationship with Nintendo, previously publishing The Art of Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario Encyclopedia. The publisher’s latest release marks the longest Super Mario picture book to date.

Nintendo is also expanding the Super Mario Galaxy brand next year with its first Amiibo tied to the sub-series. Figures featuring Mario and Luma, and Rosalina with her Lumas, will launch April 2, 2026, at $40 each. Their release lines up with the Super Mario Galaxy movie, set for theaters the same month.

Meanwhile, the Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 collection arrives Oct. 2 in physical and digital formats for Switch and Switch 2. The upgraded version will run in 4K on Switch 2 and includes both motion and traditional controls.
