Pokemon enthusiasts around the world will be thrilled with the newest teaser trailer for Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Why exactly? Well, it has officially confirmed the recent pointers towards a possible Mega Malamar being included in the game, with the mighty beast being revealed in all of its glory within two brand-new teasers.
Mega Malamar Form Revealed in “My Friend Malamar” Teaser
The first of these teasers, “My Friend Malamar,” takes the form of a TV broadcast involving Trainers within Lumiose City falling under spells of brainwashing and odd behaviour. The culprit? Their friend, Malamar, of course! Following this, snapshots showcasing little glimpses of what appeared to be Mega Malamar’s in-game model start appearing in the news broadcast, giving a sneak peek at the mysterious monster.
Lastly, the Trainer in the interview showcases Malamar’s powers by bringing her own Mega Malamar to the screen, giving fans the first complete look at the Mega form of this critter. And wow, he really has some RBG gamer aesthetics going on, huh?

Pokemon Legends Z-A Backs Up WIth Confirmation Mega Malamar is in the Game!
Not long after the My Friend Malamar teaser went live, an official teaser trailer for Pokemon Legends: Z-A was posted on the official Pokemon YouTube channel. This footage, titled “Mega Malamar Gets in Your Head!” showcases in-game glimpses at Mega Malamar in the overworld and in a mock battle scene against Dragonite. And then, utilizing its brainwashing/hypnotism powers. Because, of course, it’s Malamar we’re talking about here!
Malamar glows in otherworldly, rainbow colors the entire time it is shown on-screen, meaning it’s likely this guy’s Mega Evolution may quite literally be the walking RGB light strip we never knew we needed on our teams. Additionally, this all really helps to create a mysterious, otherworldly entity-like feeling to the monster.
