Hollywood’s favorite stuntman-turned-fixer is back, and this time, he’s got Carla Gugino along for the ride.
Carla Gugino has joined the growing cast of The Adventures of Cliff Booth, the Netflix feature that reunites Brad Pitt with director David Fincher. Based on a script by Quentin Tarantino and positioned as a spin-off/follow-up to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the film sees Pitt reprise his Oscar-winning role as Cliff Booth. Details remain under wraps, but sources say this new chapter will drop the laid-back stunt double into the murky world of Hollywood fixers.
Gugino’s role is being kept secret (as is the plot in general), but her casting adds another layer of intrigue to a film already loaded with talent. She joins Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Elizabeth Debicki, and Scott Caan in what’s shaping up to be one of Netflix’s biggest prestige bets.

Gugino is coming off a string of high-profile projects, including a Critics Choice-nominated performance in Mike Flanagan’s The Fall of the House of Usher for Netflix and a star turn opposite Naomi Watts and Bill Murray in The Friend. She also appears in Amazon’s upcoming action-comedy Heads of State with Idris Elba and John Cena.
Gugino’s filmography is a mix of genre, drama, and big-budget spectacle — from Gerald’s Game and Watchmen to Spy Kids and San Andreas. Whatever her role is in Booth’s post-Hollywood exploits, expect her to bring a little elegance and a lot of danger.
Production is set to begin later this year.
