Lightsabers, Jar Jar, and the Return of Force Lightning—Welcome to Chapter 6 Season 3
It’s not enough for Fortnite to dominate pop culture. No—Epic Games wants to rewrite the canon of every franchise it touches. And this time, they’ve set their sights back on Star Wars. Chapter 6 Season 3 (C6S3) is officially a Star Wars season. Not just a collaboration. Not just a mini-event. A season. Which means the Force isn’t just strong with this one—it’s taking over your entire map, your loot pool, and yes, your battle pass.
From the High Ground to the Hot Drop: Star Wars Takes Over the Island

Let’s get the timeline out of the way: Fortnite C6S3 drops on May 2, with follow-up updates planned for May 15 and May 29, according to ever-reliable leakers like HYPEX. The season will run until June 7, when things are expected to end with a bang (or perhaps a black hole). Themed locations will likely roll out week by week, giving players time to breathe in the nostalgia between firefights. Or not.
Expect to touch down in a series of unmistakably Star Wars-inspired POIs:
- A Tatooine-style desert outpost, possibly Mos Espa, rising from the ashes of Hopeful Heights
- A Rebel base, looking suspiciously like Yavin 4 or the sequel trilogy’s hidden bunkers
- A Hoth-like snow zone, complete with a First Order base and echoes of tauntauns past
Not all locations will be there on launch. But if you’ve played Fortnite long enough, you know the drill—updates will stagger them out like episodes of a Disney+ original.
Jar Jar Binks—Yes, That Jar Jar—is in the Battle Pass
This is not a drill. Darth Jar Jar is real. He’s in the battle pass. Whether you believe in the long-running Sith Lord theory or not, Fortnite does. Other characters joining the grind-to-unlock ranks include Sheev Palpatine, a Wookie Team Leader, and a customizable Mandalorian. Mace Windu, Captain Phasma, Poe Dameron, and (allegedly) General Grievous will rotate through the Item Shop, while Darth Evie and Apprentice Evie—because Fortnite is still Fortnite—bring some original flavor to the Force.
And like any full season, C6S3 is not a mini-pass. All previous Chapter 6 Season 2 skins are locked away now, likely vaulted until Epic decides to drop them back into the Item Shop (probably on a Tuesday at 8 p.m. with zero warning).
The Loot Pool Is an Intergalactic Arms Race
Fortnite has always had a thing for strange weapons, but C6S3 is turning that up to eleven. Blasters galore are being added, each with their own Star Wars flair:
- CR-2 Blaster (Poe’s go-to)
- DL-44 (Han’s infamous sidearm)
- E-11 Blaster (Stormtrooper standard, maybe with a Mythic twist)
- Wookie Bowcaster
- DC-15 (Clone Wars vibes)
- A mysterious weapon ripped straight from Andor’s key art
Also in the mix: Mandalorian Jetpacks, Orbital Strikes (reskinned airstrikes that call in Star Destroyers), and of course—Lightsabers. There’s even a rumor of a standalone Force Lightning ability, or maybe it’s baked into Jar Jar’s saber. Either way, Fortnite is inching closer and closer to a galaxy-sized power fantasy.
Vehicles, Baby
Pilotable X-Wings and TIE Fighters will be flying across the map, finally giving that dogfight fantasy a proper home. A turret-mounted Battle Bus is also coming, which seems almost too ridiculous—until you remember we’ve had kaiju, Thanos, and Ariana Grande in this game.
Season’s End? A “Night Night” Awaits
June 7 is circled in red. That’s when the in-game event—a tradition Fortnite still does better than anyone—will supposedly plunge the island into a “black hole” downtime, signaling the shift into Chapter 6 Season 4. Translation: Epic’s not just playing with lightsabers, they’re building an entire saga.
Is This Fortnite’s Biggest Crossover Yet?
Fortnite x Star Wars has never just been about cosmetics—it’s about immersion. From live concerts to in-game movie scenes, Epic has always known how to blend media and gameplay. But Chapter 6 Season 3 feels like a tipping point. This is no longer just a game borrowing IPs for fun. This is Fortnite inserting itself into the most iconic sci-fi canon of all time—and doing it with Jar Jar Binks wielding a lightsaber.
This isn’t just another collab. It’s the whole damn Skywalker Saga.
