Sony is hosting a PlayStation “Technical Presentation” tomorrow, shortly after hinting at a new PS5 Pro console. The nine-minute event will be led by Mark Cerny, the lead architect of the PS5, who also revealed the full PS5 specs before its 2020 launch.

The presentation kicks off at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 4 PM UK on September 10th and will be streamed on the PlayStation YouTube channel. While Sony hasn’t shared more details, this announcement comes just after they teased the PS5 Pro in a special 30th-anniversary image.

Recently, a montage showed a PS5 design that matches a leaked image of the PS5 Pro from last month. The leaked PS5 Pro features three black stripes on its exterior, unlike the single stripe on the current PS5 model. Sony’s teaser also showed a PS5 with these three stripes.

It’s been clear for a while that the PS5 Pro is real, and developers have been prepping their games for the new console. I’ve heard that games released on or after September 16th must be compatible with the PS5 Pro.

The PS5 Pro, codenamed “Trinity,” is set to feature a more powerful GPU and a slightly faster CPU mode. According to Sony documents viewed by new site The Verge, these upgrades aim to support higher resolutions, better frame rates, and improved ray tracing for games.
