Meet the Tempest

Blizzard has introduced the Tempest, a new class in Diablo Immortal, available starting May 23. The Tempest hails from the Cold Isles and specializes in wind and water magic. They use Edges, elemental blades, and summon Zephyrs, spectral duplicates for combat.

Key Abilities

Tempests offer skills like Wind Edge for fast attacks and Wave Edge for area damage. Their Ultimates, Piercing Gale and Power of the Deeps, enhance their combat capabilities, adding strategic depth.

Paragon System Overhaul

The update also streamlines the Paragon system, reducing trees from 15 to 5, each with 15 skills, to simplify character builds and enhance gameplay.

Level and Difficulty Adjustments

Expect changes to levels and difficulties, with the Paragon cap lowered to 299 and difficulty levels reduced from 15 to 4. Challenge Rifts will now cap at level 200, making progression clearer and more balanced.

Tempest Trials

Players can explore the Tempest class through an origin quest, “Relentless Tide,” a Tempest Trial Dungeon with preset builds, and the Deluged Plane for experimenting with skills and legendary items. Existing characters can switch to the Tempest class, or new characters can be created.

Update Release

The Tempest class and major updates arrive on May 23, bringing new dynamics to Diablo Immortal.

Diablo Immortal is a free-to-play, massively multiplayer online action RPG by Blizzard Entertainment and NetEase. Set between Diablo II and III, players choose from classes like Barbarian, Wizard, Monk, Necromancer, Demon Hunter, Crusader, or Blood Knight to prevent Skarn, the Lord of Damnation, from destroying Sanctuary. Originally designed for mobile, it also supports game controllers and PC. Despite mixed reviews and backlash over microtransactions, it had a record launch with over 30 million downloads by July 2022.
