Prime Video has renewed The Boys for a fifth season, announced at their inaugural Upfronts presentation. The fourth season will premiere on June 13, 2024, with three episodes, followed by weekly releases until the season finale on July 18.
“The Boys is a bold series that continues to captivate viewers worldwide,” said Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios. Showrunner Eric Kripke added, “The Boys could be the best job I’ll ever have. We’re deeply grateful for the opportunity to tell this story for another season.”
In the same press conference, Amazon also announce a Spider-Man Noir series starring Nicholas Cage.

The Boys is based on the comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. Season Four sees the world on the brink, with Victoria Neuman close to the Oval Office under Homelander’s control. Butcher, with months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his role as leader of The Boys, who must unite to save the world.
About The Boys:
The Boys is an American satirical superhero television series developed by Eric Kripke for Amazon Prime Video. It takes place in a universe where most superpowered individuals, or “Supes,” pretend to be heroes to gain public adoration while working for the profit-driven corporation Vought. In reality, they are corrupt celebrities who abuse their powers for personal gain, providing a deconstruction of the superhero genre. The series offers a more realistic portrayal of superheroes as political figures, over-worshipped celebrities, and marketing tools in a hyper-consumerist society.
Many Supes in the series are direct parodies of popular superheroes from Marvel and DC, offering a darker, more problematic, and realistic portrayal. Each season introduces new Supes based on well-known superheroic characters.
While faithful to its source material, the series diverges from the comic book storyline to maintain realism. Creator Eric Kripke oversaw changes to adapt fantastical concepts and characters for television. The series spans five seasons, with potential spin-offs planned within the same universe.
